up and down

My husband and I have been truly blessed lately.

After having Ezra, we have been pretty tight on money. All the bills flew in at once, all the clinic bills, the hospital bill, and the lab bills. We have been careful of what we buy and use so make sure we have enough money. Well Josiah has been driving this little beater car to work for months and it had been over heating and starting to not work well for us. So we decided to pray about it and keep our eye out for another car. Well Josiah saw an option for a car online that was selling for $1000 dollars, and we wanted to go look at it after Josiah got off work that evening. We had agreed that we would meet at his parents house after work and we would ride in my car to go look at it. Well on the way to his parents Josiah’s car over heated again and he knew that he couldn’t drive it to work every day. We prayed about the car on the way to look at it and prayed that this would be the car for us.

Josiah test drove the car while I stayed in my car with Ezra. When he got back I got out with Ezra to listen to him talk to the owner about the car. The guy asked Josiah what he thought, and Josiah told him he wanted to go home and think about it and that he would either call him or he wouldn’t. The owner of the car asked if he were to pay for it now how much would he pay. Josiah said 800 because he could hear a few things that he wasn’t sure about. The owner look at Ezra and said, ” New baby?” Josiah replied with a “yup”. Then he said, ” Just married?” Josiah ,”yup” then he said he would give us the car for $600. We were so dumbfounded! We told him we would be right back because we had to go get some cash. The whole way to the bank we were talking about how amazing it was that he would give us the car for $600 dollars, although we weren’t sure what we were going to do next because we can’t withdrawal $600 from the bank we can only do 500, but we trusted that the Lord would guide us and help us with that part. When we got to the bank, Josiah put his card into the ATM and as soon at the machine ate his card it said that is was broken, and would not give it back to us. We pushed all the buttons we could and it wouldn’t give it back. We called the bank to see what to do, they told us that we would have to just go in and get a new card because all the banks are closed for the night. We still had my card so we asked her to raise the price of the withdrawal for the night. We went to another bank and took out the amount with my card. So another problem happened but the Lord turned that into a blessing. The Lord has blessed us so much that evening. It is a good reminder that we need to put all our trust into the lord.
