I don’t know why I even bother

Picture of baby Ezra's first splash pad experience.

Why do I even bother buying toys for Ezra when his favorite toys in the house are household items. He will play with his toys that were given to him for about 5 minutes then turn around and play with a cup for an hour! I guess being mischievous and getting all the pots and pans is so much for fun then toys that are specifically there for his enjoyment! When I take Ezra outside he would way rather play with a stick or a pine-cone then play with normal toys, which is just fine with me. Much cheaper for him to play with those then for me to buy other stuff. Ezra will also pick every dandelion he can find. Ezra loves being outside and playing! We just got to go to the plash pad for the first time the other day, he was as little timid at first and just watched the other kids play, but the longer we stayed the braver he got, and some of the kids were very sweet and let him play in some of the puddles when the water turned off before turning them back on. Ezra just had so much fun running around and playing he took like a 4 hour nap after that!

The only time he ever tried playing with the dog’s toys is when he is playing with the dog. It is fun to watch Ezra and Bosco (the dog) play with each other. Each week I watch them grow closer together, and this week they started playing tug of war together. Ezra will pick up Bosco’s toy and bring it to him and Bosco always grabs it very gently and tugs at it for a while, and even Bosco at times will bring his toy to Ezra for him to grab it. Those two really are best buds!
